Survivors of the Rio Negro massacres offer testimony to consultants from the Organization of American States (OAS), ADIVIMA and COCAHICH in order to verify demands for reparations. In Pacux, a resettlement village mostly inhabited by Rio Negro survivors, locals recounted their memories of the massacres and spoke about the changes in their daily lives caused by the resettlement and the massacres that left many children orphaned and many women widowed.
