Thank you, Evelyn, you`re a superstar!! Enjoy your quick work. The agreement allows Chilean citizens to work in Canada without a labour market impact assessment (LMIA). Foreign workers in four categories can apply for a work permit exempt from LMIA under the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement. Regardless of class, the general requirements are as follows: the modernized CCFTA – the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement – came into force on February 5, 2019. The CCFTA is an intermediary and cornerstone of strong trade and investment relations between Canada and Chile through open, inclusive and progressive rules. More than 60 internal occupations and transfers can be hired by Canadian employers through this agreement. Business travellers from Chile do not require a work permit to carry out certain business activities in Canada. CCFTA work permits are processed at a Canadian port of entry (POE) with all supporting documents.
