Hi Katie,
I’m enjoying your blogs and appreciating the work you are doing for PHF. Are you learning a little Arabic?
Bet regards,
Pete

Hi Katie, I love your descriptions – crisp and evocative. I have also experienced that hospitality. I don’t think it has a match in the whole world! Keep writing! How is the work at PHF going? Please tell Mohammed and family Ramadan Kareem from me too, Sherrill

Hi Pete and Sherril,
I’m really enjoying my time here; Mohammed and his family have been so welcoming! I’ll pass along your hellos. I’m definitely learning Arabic, I didn’t know any of the Palestinian dialect before I arrived. PHF’s programs will really pick up again after Ramadan; I’m looking forward to the next Smiling Faces camp.

Hi Katie,
As an Advocacy Project supporter of several years and of its participation in Palestine in particular, I’d be interested in your comments – if appropriate or possible – re. balancing your immersion in that culture with or against a broader view of the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. In any case thank you for your observations thus far.
