Hi Kamaliza,
I just want to let you know that when a rwandan tells you that you are big/fat, it is a compliment not an insult.Kabera was not trying to be rude at all.I’m a rwandan who lives in a western country, i once told a friend(muzungu) of mine that she has a big bottom (as a compliment) and she sent me a message telling me that i was very rude!!!! Culture shock or what?????
By the way, Kamaliza is a beautiful rwandan name.

Hilarious. Same thing happened to me, sitting in La Gallette and a friend telling me I looked fat. He considered it a compliment.

Very interesting and welcome contrast: we’ll try and bring this to the attention of the Holocaust Museum. Also, you might want to follow up: Everyone wants to protect human rights defenders. What about an inititive to protect the memorials to genocide? Any thoughts?
