A Voice For the Voiceless

The Advocacy Project helps marginalized communities to tell their story, claim their rights and produce social change.

We are currently recruiting graduate students to volunteer as Peace Fellows with partners.

The Impact of Service

"I look at myself as having the potential to be as strong and caring as the amazing women I met in Kenya."

Kate Cummings (Tufts University) volunteered in 2009 as a Peace Fellow for Vital Voices in Africa.

Bulletin #42: Film Democracy in Nepal

New DVD Release

Andoulan Jhhari Chha! The Struggle Continues

A new film written and produced by the Collective Campaign for Peace, a partner of the Advocacy Project, chronicles the steady erosion of Nepal’s democratic gains achieved by the 1990 pro-democracy People’s Movement in Nepal. Narrated by Dinesh Prasain, one of Nepal’s foremost human rights activists, the film shows ordinary Nepalese citizens’ efforts to restore multi-party democracy through peaceful means. Footage includes the demonstrations held on April 8th this year - the largest since King Gyanendra sacked his government and assumed power in February 2005.
