Banning Landmines
Over the week of December 1-5, 1998, activists from the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL) met in Ottawa, Canada to observe the first anniversary of the Ottawa treaty banning landmines and develop an international system to monitor the treaty. Our coverage was aimed at promoting this memorable event and summarizing the key issues to emerge at Ottawa.
