Occupied Palestinian Territories

In February 2001, AP Director Iain Guest visited the West Bank and Gaza on behalf of Grassroots International to profile the work of eight leading Palestinian NGOs that were trying to build a “Third Way” between the Israeli forces of occupation and the Palestinian National Authority. This resulted in a written series of On the Record - Palestinian Civil Society Under Seige and portraits of civil society leaders. In the fall of 2006, Iain Guest visited the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) to report on human rights in the territory for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

In 2007, Palestinian labor unions formed a new coalition and our partner, the Democracy and Worker's Rights Center, produced reports from the coalition's inaugural conference. In addition, this section also hosts some of DWRC's other past press releases.
