Mission

Survivor Corps (formerly the Landmine Survivors Network) and the Advocacy Project are working together to support survivors of conflict in Central Africa, helping them to rebuild their lives and communities.

Our goal is to get conflict survivors working together, to develop a common capacity for recovery, reintegration and reconciliation.

We believe no one is better equipped to change the world than those who have been most scarred by what’s wrong with it.

About Survivor Corps

Survivor Corps is a global network of people helping each other overcome the effects of war and violence. For a decade and counting, Survivor Corps has been a world leader in survivor campaigning—bringing together the voices and energy of survivors to effect lasting change in attitudes and policies regarding violence, war and mass destruction.

We provide the tools and support survivors need to rise above their injuries and give back to their communities. We work wherever people are recovering from war and conflict, in countries still trying to rebuild after generations of conflict, from the Balkans to Southeast Asia. We work where survivors, working together, have the best chance to influence policy and break cycles of violence.

We are joining forces with hundreds of organizations to advocate for better laws, policies and practices to improve opportunities for tens of millions of survivors, and fight the root causes of violence.

The Five Stages of Survival

Survivorship is about learning to live well and thrive after crisis and catastrophe. It is both personal and public. It is the polar opposite of victimhood.

True Survivorship requires the courage to do more than merely survive. Working with thousands of war victims worldwide, Survivor Corps has found that transforming trauma requires that a survivor:
We know how to make a difference. We can make a difference. We will make a difference.

FIND A PARTNER

The Advocacy Project develops partnerships with advocates on the frontline and with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). In so doing, we take our cue from partners and tailor any support to their needs.
