Jennifer Scott and IANSA

Jennifer will be working with the IANSA in the Port of Spain, Trinidad. She is currently pursuing postgraduate studies to become a lawyer in Scotland. She earned her undergraduate degree in law from the University of Glasgow where she specialised in international human rights law with a strong focus on refugee issues.

Upon graduation, Jennifer worked in a law firm providing legal services to refugees arriving in the London area. In particular she worked with unaccompanied children and vulnerable women fleeing Middle Eastern and African countries. She has also interned at UNHCR’s offices in London where she assisted on UNHCR’s legal interventions.

Her previous experiences in the non-profit world working with a development NGO in Nicaragua, as well as studies at an NGO in El Salvador, have inspired her to work on gender development and social justice in Trinidad.

Jennifer is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with IANSA on their various projects relating to gender equality, small arms control, security, political participation and leadership.

FIND A PARTNER

The Advocacy Project develops partnerships with advocates on the frontline and with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). In so doing, we take our cue from partners and tailor any support to their needs.
