ON TO THE NEXT STAGE

20 Dec

During our final meetings, our Roma quilters were busy presenting their work to a number of stakeholders in Vilnius’ cultural life. This included a visit by representatives of the Fine Crafts Association of Vilnius, who expressed interest in the future of the project.

The quilters were also busy teaching a workshop to the International Women’s Association of Vilnius (IWAV). The IWAV ladies joined the quilters in making felt ornaments, to be sold at their annual International Christmas Charity Bazaar.

Our quilters have worked very diligently throughout this project and their progress has truly empowered them. They are an enthusiastic team, with much skill and much heart. There are a lot of bright ideas actualizing on the horizon, be ready for them!
