The Advocacy Project Blogs

Sorry, there is nothing to display...

Maha Khan, currently at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), is heading to her home country for the summer, Pakistan.

Maha is extremely excited to work at the grassroots level and in the hub of NGO activity, Peshawar. Prior to SAIS, Maha was a consultant working on women's transportation issues in the US and developing nations.

She strongly believes in bringing gender issues to the forefront of development, especially in post-conflict countries. She hopes to assist the Afghan Learning Institute and Afghan Women's Network in empowering their members by arming them with information, and raising awareness on AIL's activities. She also cannot wait to go back to mango season in Pakistan.

The Advocacy Project develops partnerships with advocates on the frontline and with nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). In so doing, we take our cue from partners and tailor any support to their needs.
